Luis Lopez
President

Born into a very large family where everyone had a role, Luis has made it a life’s mission to discover a need and find a way to fulfill it. Luis’ mother owned and operated a children’s clothing manufacturing company and everyone was expected to contribute. Starting in his late teens, Luis’ job was selling the finished product to stores and bringing feedback to the design and manufacturing team, many of which were his siblings. “One really delivers when one has mom behind the product—and the person.” This singularity of purpose helped the family business thrive. Luis brought this mindset with him, beginning his 38 years in the printing business.

Luis believes life is richest when you have a servant heart. In addition to running the business, he has used his passion to be philanthropic with contributions both financial and time, to his daughters’ sports, National Charity League, Church and a number of organizations focused on protecting and educating our youth.

Corri Durand
Sales Representative

Following her father’s footsteps, Corri joined Optimal in 2003 in customer service and moved into sales a few years later. “I grew up in printing, doing my homework at the shop, and helping him with projects after school. We would visit clients and vendors, many whom we still work with today.”

A graduate from CSU Fullerton in Business Management, she focused on learning how to run a business from an administrative perspective, and she plans to one day take over the family business.

Corri loves challenges that clients bring her to solve, the more challenging the better! She also oversees production scheduling, billing, and logistics… hence a Jack of All Trades!

When not at work, Corri plays softball a couple nights a week with her husband. She loves watching baseball and football, playing golf, and will never turn down an invite to a brewery. Cheers!

Denise Lopez
VP of Operations

Denise is our Vice President of Operations and handles both Human Resources and Finance. After studying communications and broadcasting, Denise was hired as a receptionist at an Orange County based printing firm. Naturally outgoing, she excelled at the role of being on the front lines of ensuring customers were well treated and over time expanded her responsibilities, eventually specializing in Sales Support and customer service. Supporting both remote and local sales and delighting customers were the highlight of her day.

Denise’s interest is in helping people to realize their vision. She has been fortunate enough to have the ability to volunteer at church, school and their daughter’s activities for many years. She’s most proud of her time at National Charity League, serving as Grade Level Advisor, Fashion Show, Senior Presentation and Make a Wish fundraiser chair positions. As well as Nursery coordinator for their church, responsible for staffing, training and quality of the program.

Denise’s roles at Optimal are multifaceted, including Human Resources, training and compensation. She also manages our accounting and financials ensuring both accuracy and profitability. Denise sets the culture and ensures all employees feel welcomed and respected.
